The Vets

Some of Australia¹s biggest Theatresports® living legends will play, including the winners of the 2005 Theatresports® National Championships, Tom Dunstan, Michael Gregory, and Nikki Parry.

Fresh from impro on the emerald isle comes former Artistic Director of Boom Chicago, Josie O¹Reilly.  And from a successful one-man show, I-Spy, in the 2005 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, comes David Callan.

Other veteran players and multiple Cranston Cup winners include Ewan Campbell, Grant Davies, Murray Fahey, Jenny Hope, Marko Mustac, and Lisa Ricketts.

The Rookies

Mixed Doubles will also see some of Impro Australia¹s hottest new players putting their topspin on comedy.  These include 2005 Cranston Cup Grand Finalists Jordan Raskopoulos, Peter Lead, and Keira Daley ­ all of whom have just returned from 2005 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

After completing the chewing-gum free impro circuit in Singapore, Cranston Grand Finalists Amanda Buckley, Lee "Fat Tony" Naimo, Jon Williams, and Susie Youssef return to hit the Belvoir hard court.

Also competing is co-host of Nickelodeon¹s "Sarvo", James Kerley.

The Officials

Each Mixed Doubles match is commentated by court-side Sportscaster, Ed Hyland-Kavalee.  Ed is a multiple Cranston Cup Grand Finalist, has performed in the Melbourne Comedy Festival, and is the regular host of the immensely popular University of Sydney Theatresports® show.

Lyn Pierse, the godmother of improvisation in Australia, is season director and official Mixed Doubles Umpire.  Lyn pioneered Theatresports® training in Australia, New Zealand and Japan, and captained Australia¹s first national team.  Lyn teaches improvisation at NIDA, stand-up comedy at the Actors Centre, and played Pam Coughlan on the SBS TV series, Going Home.

Celebrity judges decide who wins the shield!  These include actors Damon Gameau and Will Trevail, Tennis NSW officials, and more soon to be announced!

Improvised music from maestros Gep Blake and Benny Davis will rally the competitive spirit!

With ball-boys and ball-girls, lolly throws, and even a Cyclops, all your Wimbledons have definitely come at once!
