WEEK 1
It was brisk outside, but the impro action was white-hot on Belvoir centre court. Eight players hit the astroturf - in more ways than one - to strut and sweat in front of a roaring crowd.

Womens singles:
Gabby "Wilma Fingado" Millgate & Keira "Terry Towling" Daley
Vs
Josie O'Reilly & Jenny Hope

And it was the Theatresports veteran champions, Hope and O'Reilly, armed with cucumber sandwiches, who took out the women's match. In a less refined move, Millgate and Daley were fined $20,000 for use of expletives.

Men's singles:
(Father) Michael Gregory & (Curate) James Kerley
Vs
Tom Dunstan & Scott Hall-Watson

The very proper Dunstan and Hall-Watson duo clinched the men's match.

And in the mixed doubles match, O'Reilly, Hope, Dunstan & Hall-Watson improvised to glory. A spectacular opera about a heartbeat and a toilet plunger used all fifteen corners of the Belvoir St upstairs Theatre.

Moment of the match went to Michael Gregory in a memorable encounter with a cat and a whipper-snipper.

Big thanks go to our judges: Mixed Doubles resident technique Judge Joyce Conte, Matt Le Nevez, and Mark Priestley.

Next week, Judge Joyce is joined by actor WIL TRAVAL (All Saints).

Stay tuned to find out who's playing next week!
